Big Brothers Big Sisters Independence - The Programs Local to Camden

By partnering with Big Brothers Big Sisters Independence, programs local to our area outside Pennsauken Township take various forms.

In this, Subaru of Cherry Hill professionals have donated their time as community-based mentors or site-based mentors within an affiliated community of 3,700 children. This helps to ensure the following metrics stay intact or become exceeded:

• Avoidance of risky behaviors.
• Better peer relationships are established.
• Academic success is more probable.
• 47% of Little Brothers and Little Sisters are less likely to begin using illegal drugs.
• 27% of Little Brothers and Little Sisters are less likely to start drinking alcohol.

Community-based mentorship

Subaru of Cherry Hill volunteer mentors (Bigs) and their "Littles" meet on weekends or after school and enjoy all the activities that may seem out of reach without the program.
